According to a release from the Big Ten, Hoosiers head coach Todd Yeagley was named as the 2019 Big Ten Coach of the Year. He joins a pair of Indiana soccer players who also received individual Big Ten postseason honors.

After a regular season Big Ten championship last season, Yeagley led the 2019 Hoosiers to another regular season championship outright, despite one of the larger reloads in the country in terms of roster construction.

This is far from Yeagley’s first post-season award of this kind. Since joining the program in 2009, Yeagley received this same honor in 2010 and 2018. In 2012, Yeagley received NCAA Coach of the Year honors after winning Indiana’s ninth NCAA championship.

Yeagley, a former Indiana soccer player from 1991 to 1994, played first under his father as a forward, midfielder, and a defender. He played professional with the Columbus Crew MLS team from 1996 to 2002.
