Indiana Basketball: Lineup Report | Nebraska — Jan 18, 2020

The Hoosiers utilized just 18 unique lineups in their 82-74 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers on the road. Against one of the most porous defenses in the Big Ten, the Hoosiers were able to finally top 80 points, which is a first since the last time the two teams met in Bloomington. Additionally they were able to shoot over 50%, which is accomplishment that hasn’t happened since Indiana’s throbbing of Florida State in this year’s Big Ten-ACC Challenge.

Individually, the two best performers for the Hoosiers were Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin who appeared in all of the top plus/minus lineups. Jackson-Davis was also in the three most utilized lineups on the floor.

Notes from the Lineup Report

• Indiana freshman Armaan Franklin led the team in individual plus/minus at +18.
• Freshman guard Armaan Franklin not only had a good game statistically, but he also produced when IU was losing or close to Nebraska. For example, in the first half, he came into the game at the 10:35 mark when IU trailed by 9, and Archie Miller did not take him off the court until halftime, when IU held a five-point advantage (+14).
• One victim of Franklin’s night was Devonte Green, who played a season-low 14 minutes. IU’s defense struggled all night with Green in the game, giving up 34 points in the 14:10 that he played. Green did not play the final 12:04 of the game.
• Indiana substituted just 18 times against Nebraska on Saturday, which is actually the lowest number of changes in a game since IU played Notre Dame on Dec. 21.
• Junior captain Al Durham had a team low -13 in the plus/minus category.
• Despite being available, sophomore Damezi Anderson did not get any floor time, which could be a sign of Archie Miller’s start to shortening the rotation.
