2020 Indiana Football Recruiting Board

This recruiting board includes some of the top prospects around the country the Indiana staff is actively pursuing. With over 200 Indiana offers extended to possible prospects, this list will only represent individuals that have shown interest to Indiana University. This board will be fluid and updated on a regular basis as players commit to Indiana or another school.


Committed

Rashawn Williams

  • Verbal Commit on April 29th, 2019
  • Wide Receiver, 6’1”, 185 Pounds, Martin Luther King (MI)
  • 247 Ranking: 4-star

The signing of Rashawn Williams marks an important milestone for Indiana football. Specifically, he is the highest rated recruit in program history. He wants to immediately make an impact and his relationship with coach Mike Hart likely has to do with him committing to the Hoosiers. He will most likely be a Day-1 starter with his wide catching radius and elite athleticism.

Ty Wise

  • Verbal Commit- 3-7-2019
  • Outside Linebacker, 6’2”, 210 Pounds, Carmel High School (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Wise is an in-state recruit and becomes Indiana first commitment of the 2020 class. He is ranked as a top 10 player in Indiana. Indiana University was the first school to offer Wise a scholarship. As a Junior he recorded 83 tackles, 7 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. He chose Indiana University over 9 other MAC level programs.

Luke Wiginton

  • Offensive Tackle, 6’5”, 275 Pounds, Bishop Dwenger (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Wiginton is an in-state offensive lineman with Big Ten size. He is 6’5” with a frame that can add the weight needed to compete at the highest level. He is currently ranked as the 11th ranked player in the state of Indiana. He committed to Indiana University on April 6th over offers from Purdue, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Minnesota.

Cameron Knight

  • Offensive Line, 6’3″, 270 pounds, Noblesville (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 2-star

Knight is an in-state offensive lineman that is the brother of former Indiana Hoosier Brandon Knight, who now plays in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys. Cameron has a lot of similarities to his older brother in terms of play style and athleticism. Brandon Knight developed over time during his Indiana career and younger brother Cameron is looking to fill out his frame more during his time in Bloomington. His brother Brandon left the program at nearly 6’5″ and 315 pounds. Cameron has a bit of a ways to go.


Quarterback

Demeatric Crenshaw

  • Quarterback, 6’2”, 210 Pounds, Pickerington Central (OH)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Crenshaw is a big-bodied, dual threat quarterback. Indiana needs to bring a quarterback in the 2020 recruiting class, and they have had their sights on him; he is currently ranked the 11th best dual threat Quarterback in the nation and is the 11th best prospect out of Ohio. Crenshaw currently holds offers from schools such as Boston College, Cincinnati, Kentucky, and Louisville.


Running Back

Kenny Tracy

  • Athlete, 6’0”, 190 Pounds, Decatur Central (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Kenny Tracy and current Indiana Hoosier Larry Tracy (Cousin) helped lead Decatur Central to the state finals last year. Tracy is an outstanding athlete that can play multiple positions on the football field. He is also an elite basketball player, and it will be interesting to see what sport he decides to continue with at the next level. Tracy is currently ranked as the 16th best recruit in Indiana and holds offers from Boston College, Yale, and numerous MAC level schools.

Charlie Spegal

  • Fullback, 5’10”, 220 Pounds, New Palestine (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 2-star

In past years, Indiana’s spread one back offense would not have been a good fit for Spegal. The new offense will include a two back system that would fit Spegal’s strengths. He is currently ranked as the 21st best recruit in Indiana and holds offers from Army and Indiana State.

Peny Boone

  • Fullback, 6’2”, 225 Pounds, Martin Luther King(Michigan)
  • 247 Ranking: 4-star

After receiving a commit from high school teammate Rashawn Williams, Boone is high on Indiana’s wish list. He is listed as the 331st best prospect in the nation, 25th best running back nationally, and 8th highest rated player from the state of Michigan. Boone holds 24 offers including programs such as Nebraska, Michigan, and Michigan State.


Wide Receiver

David Baker

  • Wide Receiver/Safety, 6’2”, 200 Pounds, Indianapolis Scecina (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Baker is the top rated Wide Receiver in Indiana and is a top 10 rated overall player in the state. He visited Indiana on February 2, 2019 (unofficial) and is very high on Indiana’s wish list. Baker holds 8 offers from schools such as Iowa, Purdue, and Michigan.


Offensive Lineman

Josh Fryar

  • Offensive Center, 6’5”, 295 Pounds, Beech Grove (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Fryar is the second highest rated player in Indiana and holds 14 offers, including ones from Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. Josh’s father, Jeff, was a standout offensive lineman in the late 80’s at Indiana. Fryar attended Indiana’s Junior day.

Luke Kandra

  • Offensive Guard, 6’4”, 290 Pounds, Elder (OH)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Kandra is an interior lineman that Indiana has targeted early in the recruiting process. He is currently the 31st best recruit out of Ohio. He has received offers from Boston College, Purdue, Cincinnati, and numerous MAC level schools.

Martes Lewis

  • Offensive Guard, 6’7”, 320 Pounds, Merrillville (Indiana)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Lewis, an in-state athlete, has seen his recruitment really pick up starting in April. Lewis is a raw project player with a very high ceiling; he is ranked as a top 1000 prospect in the Nation, 81st offensive lineman in the nation, and the 9th ranked player coming out of the Hoosier state. He holds offers from schools such as Cincinnati, Minnesota, and Kansas.

Randy Holtz

  • Offensive Tackle, 6’6”, 340 Pounds, R Nelson Snider (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Holtz has the size to compete at the Big Ten level, and his is stock will continue to rise as signing day gets closer. He was at Indiana’s Junior day and is listed as the 16th best football recruit in Indiana. Holtz holds offers from Purdue, Boston College, West Virginia, and Minnesota.

Jason Eaton

  • Offensive Tackle, 6’6”, 320 Pounds, Clarksville (TN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Eaton is a large offensive tackle and has held an offer from Indiana since July 2017. He is considered the 36th best player out of Tennessee and a top 100 tackle in the nation. He holds offers from schools such as LSU, South Carolina, Kentucky and Fresno State. Can we pull another highly touted offensive lineman from Tennessee?


Defensive Lineman

Ty Hamilton

  • Defensive End, 6’3”, 250 Pounds, Pickering Central (OH)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Hamilton has good size at the defensive end position. He is the 32nd ranked player out of Ohio and the 44th best defensive end in the county. Hamilton came to Indiana’s Junior day and has expressed interest in the program. He holds offers from schools such as Michigan, Wake Forest, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

Dane Middlebrook

  • Defensive Tackle, 6’1”, 310 Pounds, Brownsburg (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 2-star

Middlebrook is a special football player. At 6’1” he is considered undersized for his position. Middlebrook is considered the 20th best player in the state of Indiana and currently holds an offer from Ohio State and numerous MAC level schools.

Westley Neal

  • Defensive Tackle, 5’11”, 285 Pounds, Gulliver Prep (Florida)
  • 247 Ranking: 4-star

Neal is a large body that could play either interior defensive line position. He is ranked as the 303rd best player in the nation and is a top 50 player in the state of Florida as well as a top 30 defensive tackle in the nation. He holds offers from Michigan, Florida State, and Miami University.

Ali Saad

  • Defensive Tackle, 6’4”, 255 Pounds, Dearborn (Michigan)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Saad’s recruitment has blown up in April and has over 20 Division 1 offers. He is a top 100 Defensive lineman in the 2020 class and top 25 prospect out of the state of Michigan. He holds offers from schools such as Northwestern, Boston College, and Minnesota.

Kyle King

  • Defensive End, 6’4”, 235 Pounds, New Palestine (IN)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

King is a skilled/athletic defensive end that could be a four down player at Indiana. Ranked the 5th best player in Indiana, he holds offers from Navy, Air Force, and numerous MAC level schools.


Defensive Backs

Hunter Sellers

  • Cornerback, 6’0”, 180 Pounds, Woodward Academy (GA)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Sellers had an unofficial visit to Indiana in March and is a top target as the cornerback position. He is a top 70 recruit out of Georgia and holds around 20 offers from school such as Duke, Michigan State, and Wisconsin to name a few.

Carrington Valentine

  • Cornerback, 6’0”, 180 Pounds, Archbishop Moeller (OH)
  • 247 Ranking: 3-star

Valentine was in attendance at Indiana’s junior day and continues to be a leading prospect. He is considered to be a top 25 recruit out of the state of Ohio. Carrington holds offers from Louisville, Kentucky, West Virginia, and now currently hometown Cincinnati.
