The Indiana Football program revealed to the public a completed Terry Tallen Football Complex for the first time today. The facility was first announced back in April of 2018 and has been under construction for a number of months since. Impressively the Indiana Athletics department has been able to turn out yet another major facility-addition project in record time.
Terry Tallen, a two-time former Indiana football captain that played for the Hoosiers from 1977 to 1980, provided a $2 million donation to support the funding of the facility and was announced as the largest donation to the university by a former football player. Indiana Football recognized his generosity by permanently naming the complex after him.
The 25,000+ square feet newly renovated area will sit underneath the stands of Memorial Stadium on the west side and includes a number of newly renovated areas including:
- Trent and Julie Green Locker Room
- Coaches’ Locker Room
- Team Lounge
- Recruiting Area
- Equipment Room
- Dr. John M. Miller Training
The addition of the complex is following a long list of newly completed facilities across all Indiana Athletics programs. Within the football program, the Hoosiers completed the closing off of the South End Zone and revealed a 120,000 square-foot Excellence Academy that is currently being used by a number of programs and has the mission of supporting student-athlete wellness.
