The Hoosiers played in one of the most interesting games all season where two teams showed incredible defensive prowess, but Indiana played historically poor on offense. The offense has not often traveled with the Hoosiers this season and the combination of the hostile Mackey-arena environment amplified Indiana’s inability to score at critical moments.

Notes from the Lineup Report
- Indiana’s starting lineup continued to struggle on Thursday at Purdue, as they posted their fourth consecutive negative outing in the +/- category. Purdue outscored IU by three points when Phinisee, Durham, Smith, TJD, and Brunk were on the floor, including a 7-0 run to push a nine-point halftime lead to 16.
- Not only did Race Thompson lead IU in +/- for the fourth time in five games, the Hoosier offense was much more productive with him on the court. Indiana scored 34 points in his 21 minutes. IU only scored 15 in the other 19.
- Speaking of Thompson, he played 15:47 of the game’s final 16:33. Indiana went +8 in that stretch. Unfortunately, IU trailed by 16 when he entered in the 2nd half.
- Devonte Green led Indiana on Thursday with 11 points, albeit on 3-for-15 shooting. However, he was tied for a team-worst -10 in +/-, along with TJD and Justin Smith. Breaking it down by backcourt mate, Green went +1 with Rob Phinisee, -3 with Al Durham, and -8 with Armaan Franklin.
