With doors open to the media, IndianaHQ received an inside tour of the new Terry Tallen Indiana Football Complex that was opened earlier this month. The Hoosiers have a brand new-facility that they can call home, with completely decked out locker rooms, player lounge areas, and more. See below for a video and picture guide of the new 25,000 sq. ft. facility that was made possible by a $2 million donation from former Indiana captain Terry Tallen.
Welcoming you beneath Memorial Stadium, the Terry Tallen Indiana Football complex stands beneath the stands of the Indiana football stadium on the west side. The facilities include:
- Trent and Julie Green Locker Room
- Coaches’ Locker Room
- Team Lounge
- Recruiting Area
- Equipment Room
- Dr. John M. Miller Training Room
One of the coolest features about the complex is the ability to showcase Indiana Football equipment that is currently decked out with adidas sponsored team gear. Expect new helmets, past helmets, and current helmets to be displayed in this highlighted area. The range of gear exhibited include full pads, helmets, cleats, gloves, training-wear, and more.
The players will have plenty of places to lounge and relax. Large leather couches across the entire space and plenty of seats for the players to sit and hang out. The area was designed with the players in mind, considering the billiards area, a ping-pong table, and probably the most important: video game set ups each with an Xbox and Playstation.
The brand new locker room area has illuminated helmet shelves for ever single player. Each player has a custom locker with their name embellished. Each unit has a clean crimson-colored leather seat as well as plenty of storage space for players’ accessories such as socks, gloves, toiletries, etc. The corn-hole set up in the middle of the locker room provides viewers a reference to understand the spacious nature of the locker room.
One great accent to the space includes a highlight of current and past players with illuminated “posters” around the locker room area. The ode to the history of the program and those that paved the way for the current players to have these privileges is a welcoming touch. Here of course, a pair of outstanding linebackers in current senior Reakwon Jones and current NFL professional Jonathan Crawford are displayed.
