According to multiple reports, Indiana freshman forward Jake Forrester has put his name in the NCAA transfer portal to declare his intention to transfer. He joins sophomore Clifton Moore and redshirt sophomore Vijay Blackmon (W) in a group planning to find a landing spot at a new school.
The 6’10” forward from Pennsylvania was a 3-star recruit and played on the same highschool team, Westtown, as NBA prospect Cam Reddish. Forrester was known for his energy on the court and saw minutes due to a number of front court injuries to the Hoosiers this season. Jake played in 13 games this season for the Hoosiers and tallied a total of 56 minutes.
Next season, Indiana front court at the current moment is anticipated to consist of senior De’Ron Davis, five-star freshman Trayce Jackson-Davis,junior Justin Smith, and redshirt junior Race Thompson. Indiana native and Butler center Joey Brunk has been exploring transfer options and recently visited Indiana on a visit with his family.
One notable aspect is that Jake is the first of Archie Miller’s recruits to intend to transfer. The current transfer list of Archie’s tenure: Curtis Jones, Clifton Moore, and Vijay Blackmon were all recruits of former head coach Tom Crean. The relationship with Jake Forrester did start with former head coach Tom Crean; however, he visited Indiana when Archie Miller took over and committed shortly after.
