Although there has been some recent schedule information released for the Big Ten and the Indiana Hoosiers Men’s basketball team, there is still time to wait before we see a full schedule.

While we wait for the release of the full 31 game schedule, lets look at what we do know.

International travel for the Hoosiers

Mike Woodson and the Indiana Men’s basketball team will travel to the Bahamas to compete in two exhibition games against BC Mega of Serbia on Aug. 13 and 15 on the island of Atlantis.

This will be Indiana’s first international travel since visiting Montreal in 2014.

Indiana will host St. Johns in the Gavitt Games

Indiana will welcome the Red Storm to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Wednesday Nov. 17, 2021, on the third day of the event.

The Gavitt Games, an annual challenge event between the Big East and the Big Ten, was postponed last season due to COVID-19.

Indiana is set to face Notre Dame in the Crossroads Classic

Death. Taxes. The Indiana Hoosiers playing a thrilling Crossroads Classic game. Those are the only guarantees in life.

Since 2017 the Hoosiers have had the Juwan Morgan last second slam, the game-winning corner three from Indianapolis native Armaan Franklin, and who could forget the game-winning, buzzer-beating three-point shot from Rob Phinisee.

Indiana has a record of 7-3 and have won four straight games in the event. Last year Indiana defeated Butler by a score of 68-60.

Indiana’s early season non-conference schedule

Mike Woodson and IU Athletic Director Scott Dolson have scheduled the earlier portion of IU’s non-conference schedule and it looks a little something like this:

  • Merrimack at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (Time TBD)
  • Louisiana Lafayette at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (Time TBD)
  • Marshall at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (Time TBD)
  • Northern Kentucky at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (December 22, 2021)

Conference Schedule

Per the Big Ten, the conference schedules for all 14 teams have been released and its safe to say that Indiana’s schedule lands on the “easier” side compared to others.
