The new Indiana coach staff led by Mike Woodson continues to aggressively recruit this offseason. Their latest scholarship offer has now been extended to class of 2022 4-star PF Kyle Filipowski. The 6-10, 215 lb PF from Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Wilbraham, MA) is a versatile playmaker that is a great prospect for any team and continues to rise in the class’s rankings.
He has skyrocketed in the ranks from being in the 150+ range overall late last year, but now is 58th overall, the No. 10 PF and No. 1 player in Massachusetts per 247Sports Composite. On ESPN, he is rated as the No. 31 recruit overall. As a result, he has a lot of schools who have expressed interest and extended offers to him including UCLA, Purdue, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Iowa and Illinois along with others. In a recent interview, he claimed that Ohio State, UCLA, and Iowa have been most involved in his recruitment to date.
He has exceptional ball handling and shooting for his size and is a near 40 percent three point shooter this past year. He averaged 21 points and 13 rebounds per game. This skillset mimics a lot of what Mike Woodson is looking for with targeting great shooters that are versatile and can develop into NBA players. The offer comes two days after Woodson and Indiana offered 4-star Seth Trimble of the class of 2022.
