BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A trio of 2020 commitments have officially signed their national letters of intent. The group of Anthony Leal, Trey Galloway, and Jordan Geronimo represent a top 20 class according to 247Sports. Leal and Galloway signed on Monday, which is the first possible signing day. Geronimo signed a day later. All three signed at ceremonies hosted in their respective high schools.
We are excited to add three high-quality young men and their families to the Indiana basketball program. Anthony, Jordan and Trey have competed at championship levels in high school, AAU and have been extremely well coached throughout their lives. They bring toughness, athleticism, versatility and a high basketball IQ and represent everything we look for on and off the court. They make others better, will have a positive impact on our team culture and are prepared to help us compete at the highest level in the Big Ten.
Indiana head coach Archie Miller
Trey Galloway
6-4 Guard / 200 pounds / Culver, IN (Culver Academies)
Galloway was the first of the 2020 Indiana University commits. Known for his ability to muscle into the paint as a taller guard, he played for his father, who is the head coach at Culver Military Academies in Culver, Indiana. Galloway also adds a tough-nosed defensive mentality that would be one of the reasons he sees minutes early in his Indiana University career. He is currently ranked 138 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Anthony Leal
6-5 Guard / 195 pounds / Bloomington, IN (Bloomington South)
Leal has been a long time Indiana basketball fan, since he grew up just miles from Assembly Hall. His final two schools included Indiana and Stanford, both of which were great options for him considering his academic background. Leal is a tremendous student in addition to being a sizable guard. He immediately adds a three-point shot to the Indiana line up and he was AAU teammates with fellow 2020 signee Trey Galloway. Leal is currently ranked 98 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
