Four-star and top 65 guard Anthony Harris commits to North Carolina. The 6-foot-3 combo guard will play for Roy Williams and the North Tar Heels.
Earlier today, Anthony Harris announced that he would be making a commitment announcement by 6:30 pm. After wrapping up a visit to Bloomington early this weekend, Anthony moved quickly to an official visit with Roy Williams and North Carolina for a back-to-back visit after Easter.
The Fairfax, Virginia native is currently ranked 65th overall in the 2019 class and holds the 8th ranked position on the 2019 list of combo guards according to the 247Sports composite ranking. He had originally committed to Virginia Tech earlier, but after the departure of Buzz Williams, Anthony Harris asked for a release and he was granted one.
Once he received his release, he wasted no time getting in contact with a number of coaches – Archie Miller and Roy Williams being the most prominent discussions.
Anthony Harris Style of Play
The Tar Heels are getting a two-way player that uses quickness to create turnovers on the defense end. His speed also allows him to penetrate and score around the rim, but his shooting is still an area of improvement that he will need to work on developing further.
