A number of Indiana Basketball targets in their recruiting pipeline were invited to USA Basketball’s July Minicamp. The camp will again be hosted in Colorado Springs, Co. and will be used to select the USA Basketball Junior teams. 73 athletes will be training at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center between July 24-28. Above basketball activities, the USA Junior National Team members also receive educational on recruiting, health/nutrition, and safety issues.

The USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Committee is the responsible party that is in charge of choosing the players and coaches for the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team.

Class of 2020 Indiana Recruiting Targets Invited

The following were named among the 73 also in Indiana’s 2020 recruiting board.

  • Nimari Burnett (Prolific Prep, Calif./Chicago, Ill.) – Recently won USA’s first gold medal at the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup with Dawson Garcia;
  • Dawson Garcia(Prior Lake H.S./Prior Lake, Minn.) – Recently won USA’s first gold medal at the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup with Nimari Burnett; Dawson Garcia was named MVP.
  • Caleb Love (Christian Brothers College H.S./St. Louis, Mo.)

Class of 2021 Indiana Recruiting Targets Invited

The following were named among the 73 also in Indiana’s 2021 recruiting board.

  • Max Christie (Rolling Meadows H.S./Arlington Heights, Ill.)
  • Caleb Furst (Blackhawk Christian School/Fort Wayne, Ind.) – Caleb Furst is a new addition to USA Basketball.
  • Khristian Lander (Francis Joseph Reitz School/Evansville, Ind.)

Regarding the Class of 2022

As of now, recruiting the class of 2022 is still early. While the staff is actively evaluating with two major events coming up, interest and targets will start to reveal themselves in the near future.
