As teams return back to campus and recruiting periods reopen, the Hoosiers wasted little to no time in recruiting. After offering 2022 guard Bruce Thorton, the Hoosiers looked in-state and offered 2022 forward D’Ante (Tae) Davis (Lawrence North) out of Indianapolis.
Davis is a top 100 recruit and he is currently the third highest ranked player from the state of Indiana for his class. Notable offers include Louisville, Purdue, Ohio State, and Butler. His older brother, Dre Davis, is currently a 2020 Louisville commit, which has led to speculation that D’Ante may follow in his footsteps.
He has reassured that he wants to make his own decision for his own circumstances. Just because his brother had committed to Louisville, does not necessarily imply his college decision.
Davis is a well-rounded player that combines both on-ball technique as well as off-ball movement. He’s a smooth attacker that has an equally smooth release on his jumpshots. He fits the archetype of lengthy and versatile forward/wing players that Archie Miller likes to use in his packline defensive scheme.
